Admissions

The primary purpose of Our Lady of Victory Elementary School is to support and encourage parents and guardians in the spiritual, intellectual and physical growth of their children. It is an expectation of the school that parents and guardians cooperate fully with the school for the good of the child. Parents and guardians who practice effective communication are engaged in their child's spiritual, academic, athletic, and extra curricular growth; support the school by their presence and participation; attend church services regularly and participate in the spiritual life of the community; and volunteer and support our parent clubs. Our parents and guardians make Our Lady of Victory a strong and vital parish in Northwest Chicago.

When enrollment and staff have been planned for the following year, and a new student requests admission, particularly if that grade level is an already large class, the following is typically the Order of Acceptance for Admission to Our Lady of Victory:

  • Currently enrolled students who have registered for the following year
  • Families who are registered with the parish
  • Children who attend REP and have positive academic/behavioral records
  • Students transferring from other Catholic schools with positive academic/behavioral records
  • Students from public / private schools with positive academic/behavioral records

Criteria for Transfer Students

  • Review of records
  • Principal interview
  • Desire of parents/guardians to participate fully in the spiritual, academic and social upbringing of the child
  • The ability of the parent to meet the financial obligations associated with private education (Please come and meet with the Pastor and/or the Principal at OLV - we want to find a way to help you join us!)

Admission for Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten
According to Illinois State Law:

  • Preschool students must be 3 or 4 years of age by September 1 to enter the Pre-K program.
  • New Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age by September 1 to enroll at the school.

To Enroll
Please don't forget to bring:

  • A copy of your child's birth and baptismal certificate
  • Medical and dental forms (current medical & proof of required immunizations)
  • A completed registration form
  • Transfer records from previous school

Admission for 6th Grade

  • Medical and dental forms (current medical & proof of required immunizations).
