I am currently the 5th grade teacher at OLV. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a degree in Special Education and Regular Education. I am certified in LD, BD, and EMH for ages 5-21, as well as Regular Education K-9th grade. I have been teaching since January of 1981. I have taught in the suburban public school system and at OLV. When I first came to OLV in 1994, I started and ran The Learning Resource Center. In 2004, I was moved to the fifth grade and have been teaching 5th grade since.

I have been a member of the OLV community since I was five years old. I attended and graduated from OLV. I was married at OLV and remain an OLV parishioner today. I am married to Tom Hayes who is a long-time St. Patrick High School math teacher. We have three children all of whom attended and graduated from OLV. Our eldest daughter is employed at Guerin Prep High School, our son is in Medical School in Missouri, and our youngest daughter is a junior at Grand Valley State University, pursuing a degree in secondary education. OLV has been very good to all of us for many years.
