School Philosophy

Our Lady of Victory is a Catholic School which provides each student with a superior education – one that develops his or her individual, spiritual, intellectual, physical and cultural potential to the full extent.

The educational program at Our Lady of Victory begins with the students learning to trust others outside their families, gain independence and self-control, take initiative, and assert themselves in socially acceptable ways.  As they continue their education at OLV, the students learn to make sense of the world around them through active involvement with their environment.  As they engage in a variety of hands-on activities, the students strive to achieve their full potential.

The goal of our educational program is to provide a rich environment that encourages students to observe, be active, make choices, and to experiment.  We strive to teach and develop skills within the students which we believe are essential for personal success and happiness, such as: integrity, appreciation, problem solving, resilience, pride, follow-through, and responsibility.  Students will develop an awareness of how best they learn, what their abilities, strengths and challenges are, and use this awareness and knowledge for academic success.

The students of Our Lady of Victory need and deserve an educational setting where each is known personally and where the coursework is interesting and challenging.  Students are encouraged to establish positive relationships with peers and given the opportunity to work collaboratively with others.  The teachers work with each child to ensure accountability, self-awareness, and independence are encouraged and nurtured throughout his or her educational experience at OLV and beyond.
